Indeed, pretty sad.

And to make matters even worse from time to time I have to disable the adapter and re-enable because it says that the wireless key is bad when of course it is not.

Here is what I see in even viewer:
Helper Class (L2Sec Helper Class) Event:
For complete information about this session see the Wireless Diagnostic Informational Event.
Helper Class: Layer2 Security
Initialize Status: Success
Result of diagnosis: Problem found
Root cause:
Windows cannot connect to "Will"
The wireless network security key is not correct.
Detailed root cause:
Layer 2 security key exchange using user-supplied key did not generate unicast keys before timeout
Repair option:
View wireless network security settings for "Will"
You can then type the correct wireless network security key.

I see this error logged 10 times in a row in the event viewer when ever the driver fails:
TCP/IP failed to establish an outgoing connection because the selected local endpoint was recently used to connect to the same remote endpoint. This error typically occurs when outgoing connections are opened and closed at a high rate, causing all available local ports to be used and forcing TCP/IP to reuse a local port for an outgoing connection. To minimize the risk of data corruption, the TCP/IP standard requires a minimum time period to elapse between successive connections from a given local endpoint to a given remote endpoint.
Router log shows like 100:
Wireless system with MAC address 00 disconnected for reason: Received Deauthentication.
Update: Has happened now 10 times since I made this post. Pretty lame!
Update 2: I have enabled "Enable Multicast Streams" on /Advanced/Network.shtml to see if it makes any difference.
I have also set:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{93A68533-99A7-4723-AE9A-C5AFBE049CF9}]
"DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag"=dword:00000000
DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag was set to 1. Hope this fixes the disconnection problem at least.
Update 3: Nope, no difference. Still disconnecting.

When it comes back up now it's an Unidentified network and file sharing does not work.

But at least I can still browse, check email, etc.
Update: Some times it is unidentified network and some times it comes back correctly.

Update: O.K to fix file sharing I just have to disconnect for a second time and re-connect. Oddly takes twice as long as usual.
I just can't believe how darn buggy this adapter is because of the driver.
Even crazier that it got certified (click on image to see Microsoft cert page for this product):

Perhaps if Microsoft looks into this and removes the cert then perhaps dlink will notice?
So please click on the "Report a compatibility issue" link on the page above (click on the image of the product) and report this to Microsoft. Thanks!
