VOB files freezing (Firmware 1.02)
« on: December 29, 2008, 11:11:32 AM »

I have tried playing 3 different VOB files which all freeze after playing 5 to 30 seconds.  If I jump ahead they always play a few seconds and then freeze with no video or auidio.  The information display continues to count up.

They behave the exact same way when played through network or from a USB key (i.e not a bandwidth issue).

All VOBS play perfectly on 3 different PCs.

The only problem is with the 750.

Any ideas, fixes ...

Regards

What are the file properties of the .vob file? Do you have other .vob files what playback properly?

I only have 3 "sets" pf VOBS and all of files freeze up.

One (as reported on the DSM750 0.97 GB 720x576 9800 KBS)  (~44 minutes).  It is the British TV show Merlin.

I have an 11.n wireless connection which I thought was the problem, except the USB versions always freeze at the same positions.

DLINK 655 router, signal strength ~50%.  Usually reports 168 MPS speed on the 750 connection.

I assume the USB can be read as fast as the machine can decode.  True?
Can others play .VOB files?

P.S.
I only use the DLINK DIR 655 11.n wireless router to feed the dsm and thus set in to 11.n only and 40 Mhz.  Are their any special setting which would improve the transfer speed to the 750?

Thanks, for any help
