Help with FXP
« on: February 09, 2011, 08:01:55 PM »

Hi.

I just configured FTP server V 1.08 with basic settings and I am not sure what's missing as far as trying to get FXP to work. Basically i can't connect from the outside using smartFTP but i can connect to my other FTP server via FXP..  Should i have 2 ports forwarded to the 323? I know it tells you to use another port besides 21 but should 21 and the other port for example 2500 be enable on my router?

Also passive mode is set to default  port range and i do not have the Report External IP set to nothing.

Should i set this up to my wan ip address?

any help will be gladly appreciated..

Thanks

OK.

I am close to figuring this out. I have my client connected now to both servers but now for some odd reason the files that i transfer from server to server (dNS) just sit there without being transferred. However the status reads transfer but nothing is moving. It's like the DSN-323 is waiting for something and i cant figure it out. I cfan create and upload other files from the client but just can't get the FXP working.

Ill continue to mess around with it but if any one has any ideas please let me know.

THanks
