Need help to setting up BitTorrent ports......
« on: January 13, 2009, 05:53:33 PM »

my DGL-4500 just arrived today...

when I used "Application Rules" to setup the single ports for BitTorrent" it works in some ways(it seeds,DL/UL) but the Bitcomet "NAT" light's yellow (port's blocked?)

but when I try to set it up with "Virtual Server" the "NAT" light's green mean the port's fully open for BT...(but it's pretty scary cause is "Virtual Server" not suppose to setup for BitTorrent use?) please advise~

and also I need to confirm the setting for Virtual Server (for BT use) is base on LAN IP or WAN IP? as they're different IP# that I'm kinda forgotten which one's the right one for the setup?

P.S. Router comes with FW 1.02...do I stay with 1.02? or update it to 1.15?

 please enlighten...thanks

You are in the wrong section to forward ports.  It's under "Gaming".  :)

just keep thing simple...now it (ports forwarding) works...

as for the FW issues...

after review all the scary stories...

I'll stay with FW1.02 for now...

it's pretty stable~~~no issues......yet~~~
