Secured Wireless Connection
« on: February 13, 2011, 11:03:22 PM »

I hope someone can help me out here.  I've had the router for awhile and its worked great. Until recently, my internet service was disconnected.  Then I had a bunch of problems.  Worked out all the kinks.  I've been running the wireless unsecured for awhile, and I finally decided to secure it again.

So..., my question is.  When my router was unsecured I had no problems connecting to it.  Now that I secured it, I can't connect to it.  I get the SSID on all my devices, but I go to connect them and they say cannot connect.  Any help would be appreciated.  I've tried with my laptop and iPhone. ???

What security settings have you set your router to ?

If you are having problems start wit WEP 1st and try if that works.
If things work slowly work up to wpa-personal (wpa only) then if that works to both or wpa2.

You may have to go into Manage Wireless Networks, delete the connection and recreate it so you can put your password in.
