DCS-920 DView - Motion recording.
« on: February 14, 2011, 02:36:45 PM »

Hello,

I'm in the process of setting motion recording for a client. I've been at this for the last two days. I have a few questions if someone has some time to answer them, that would be very much appreciated.

Using the DVew 2.03 client, 24/7 econ. Which is 24/7 motion recording. How does this work, does it save to the HD as soon as motion is detected?

Events have caused me to much headache, but it seems hit or miss with the recording. Sometimes it records, sometimes it doesn't? If I pick 24/7 econ, do I need events?

I then switched to Dview 3.11. I've set it up so it see's the motion detection, it blinks motion detected but it doesn't record anything. I guess same question as the 2.03, I have it set to Disk Space or something which is 24/7, motion recording but I see no files anywhere?

I'm so lost, thanks in advance.

I just set up the DCS-920 camera for my home.  Go to the D-Link Video Software forum & you'll see my notes there.  In a word, upgrade to version 3.1.1 of D-ViewCam.  Version 2.0.3 has some serious problems problems with motion detecion.

Good Luck
