DNS-323 Used Hard drive
« on: February 20, 2011, 05:42:27 AM »

I currently have one hard drive in my DNS-323 and my question is if I stick in a older used hard drive that I used to have in a Windows machine will it first format the hard drive or can I access all the data?

You will not be able to access the data on the used disk, and you will be prompted to format it.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.
