Trouble with Dir-655 Schedules
« on: February 21, 2011, 05:20:45 AM »

I have a Dir-655 Hardware Version: B1 Firmware Version: 2.00NA

This is upstairs acting as a hub and as a wireless access point.  I turned the wireless on my Verizon Fios cable modem, which is downstairs.

So first I setup a schedule:

Then I setup a policy to block all access from all devices (I think?)

First I select the Schedule above.  Hit Next.  Then this screen is how I am trying to block all wireless and hard wired devices that plug into the DIR-655.

It doesnt block access.  The router time is correct if I go to the Time tab

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Hi danceswithquail,

Why are you blocking the Other Machines? You haven't blocked anything. In order to block, you simply need to be specific or instead of blocking from the D-Link Router, do the blocking from the Verizon FIOS' ActionTek Router and block the access of the D-Link Router between those hours.

I thought the "Other Machines" was a way to select all devices coming through the router.
I am going to try the setup on the Verizon router and test it.  Thanks for the idea
