Loss Of Mapped Drive Connectivity
« on: February 21, 2011, 06:01:16 PM »

I've had my DNS-323 for about 2 weeks now.  Everything is setup and working great except for an issue with the drives I've mapped to it on my laptop.

I have 2 drives in the device and a mapping to each drive.  After a certain amount of time, I can no longer access either mapping.  I either get "J:\ is not accessible.  The network path cannot be found" or "Windows cannot access this disc".

I'm using Windows 7.  If I do a scan of the network on the laptop, the DNS-323 device does not show up but I can still get to the configuration page for the device by IP address when this happens.  If I restart the laptop, the drive mappings are fine again.  Is there some kind of setting to prevent this from happening?  Are the drives not waking?

Thanks for any ideas.

I have the same problem.  Please any ideas?

Using Windows 7.

Using Windows Explorer.

Using three (3) DNS-323 units, but the problem happens only on one of them, the newest one.

Have tried swapping disks between units, but/and the problem stays with the newest DNS-323.

In addition to the messages mentioned, I receive "Location is not available."

Unit can be woken up by logging into via web, and seems to wake up after multiple attempts to access.
