S.M.A.R.T. monitoring

Yes, yes, this one, too. That should have existed from the beginning. NAS without S.M.A.R.T. isn't really smart.

+1.

Otherwise, it is useless as a media server.

1) Support for MTS files extension in UPnP media player. It is ridiculous to have to rename .MTS to .M2TS in order to playback them. Should not be a big deal to implement.

2) Support for more formats and codecs would also be nice.

3) Be able to add more than 1 folder to the list in UPnP server.

1) sounds like the MKV case where playback is possible if files are renamed to MP4.

3) would be nice.

I think the #1 wish is now a close release date since patience is running out, really.

- option to automatically re-start or not re-start after a power failure
- Wake on Lan support
- S.M.A.R.T. monitoring and reporting wihin the GUI
- a STABLE bittorrent GUI.  I'm sick and tired of seeing "Connect to server failed"
- make the logs accessable via the GUI, instead of having to hack the box or install FUNPLUG to find out why something doesn't work as expected.
- external USB HDD support, not just printer support.
- better stability

This is off topic, but no. As I've stated in many past threads, the TV can play MKV and subtitles from USB. The DNS-323 AV Media Server does not support streaming of MKV and subtitle files.

If you have any further inquiries on the subject please ask in a new thread or send me a PM.
