Deathentication and Wireless AP crash Help please!
« on: January 16, 2009, 06:14:24 AM »

I constantly have crashes with my router. When I look into the Logs I see that the router recieves "deathentications" and Wireless AP crashes.

I have already posted a question about this before, and I never have solved the problem.

Changed almost any setting I can change.

Solution anyone?

Many thanks!

Please post most as much details about your configuration and devices as possible. It's impossible to give a sensible answer this way.

Ok,

By the advanced wireless menu deselected WLAN partition, WMM enable, Short GI and extra wireless protection.

I also turned off the firewall, wish Qos and Wifi protected setup. I do not run any mac filtering or what so-ever.

I use WPA2 encryption and I also tryed to see how it wroked while turned off.

The adapter I use is the DWA-140 USB dongle.

This is the configurition that the connection is at his most constant way, meaning that he will drop once in an hour.

For the wireless I have selected Channel 1, and set it at 20/40 mhz.

I use FW 1.12 (I also tryed different firmware versions)

Help is very very welcome ;D

1. Get firmware 1.11 or 1.21.
2. What devices are attached (PC, Xbox...?)
3. WiSH and Qos will normally have no effect on disconnects.

It's probably the Wii causing the issue. Get through some posts in this forum that address Wii issues.

The Wii authenticates and deauthenticates all day long when not in use -- it's by design.  The Wii authenticates, does some housekeeping, and deauthenticates.  It causes no problems and it's normal.
