FTP data transfer cap
« on: March 09, 2011, 05:03:13 PM »

Is it possible to set a data limit like quota for the DNS-323 where an FTP user would have a cap of how much data they can read from the FTP end?
Like User A has unlimited read / write
User B has 5000MB read / 2000 MB write limits as an FTP user?

I don't think there is such an option.

aw.... well would there be another way to acomplish this? say through DD-WRT router firmware, a Fun_Plug mod or anything watching a spacific incomming IP connection?

i know thats asking a bit of searching, but thats what im doing right now to find this solution. if i do find something i'll post it. though asking here couldent hurt.

I haven't looked at the FTP logs to see what is in there (I don't use FTP) but if it had the user name and at least the file name, then you could script something to disable the user after x amount of download.
