I am sorry if I posted in wrong forum but could not find switch forum. I have following:
Cable Modem --> Wireless Router --> D-Link Switch ----cat5----> Computer
I wanted to take the cat 5 from the wall outlet currently going to my computer and "split it" to go to the computer and an internet read HDTV in same room. I tried a hub but it caused the speed at the computer to drop by 75%. I then tried a second wireless router but the computer would not connect to the internet (shown below).
Cable Modem --> Wireless Router --> D-Link Switch ----cat5----> 2nd Wireless Router ---> Computer and also ---> HDTV
Should I have used another switch instead?
