IPTV and BDlive help
« on: April 11, 2011, 01:17:20 PM »

Hello everyone,

Owner of the 825 and overall satisfied. I have an issue though that I haven't been able to resolve.

I have IPTV(set-top box included) and also BD live through my blue ray dvd player (netflix, youtube etc). Problem is whenever I try to run both at the same time my BD live suffers in other words I cant run both at the same time. When I shut off my IPTV set up box then my BD live works fine. Are there any tricks to run both with no problem? Any configurations to the router that I need to be doing?

Thanks in advance.

Are you using wireless or wired with these devices?
If wireless what modes are you using? Mixed or Single?
Might need to set up QoS when running both devices the same time.

Thanks for the response, I am a newbie with routers, other then the basic set-up no clue.

For my IPTV it is wired directly to my #2 port on my dlink. The BD live through my blue ray is wireless as it is on a different floor. My preference would've been to have that wired as well but due to distance cant. As far as modes I am not sure what you mean by mixed or single. Quite a simple set-up really I havent done anything fancy outside of security for the d-link, and just connect these devices to router.

Not sure what you mean about Qos..I am guessing telling the router to use the 5ghz instead of 2.5 GHz.
