Try making sure that Primary and 2ndary DNS addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual
Turn off Advanced DNS Services.
Enable DNS relay under Setup/Networking.

Try flushing DNS or repairing the network connection on the PC?

I had the same issue.  A few days ago, I changed the default DNS servers in the routers config for openDNS DNS server addresses.  The issue has not come back.  It was happening 3 to 5 times a day on the old and latest version B firmware.  I hope like hell this fixed it as it has been perfect since.  I work from my home office so it was a real PITA.

Could you post the step you took to make these changes on the router?

I changed the default DNS servers in the routers config for openDNS DNS server addresses.

I would also chech to see if Advanced DNS Service is enabled. Disable it.
Enable DNS relay and make sure primary and 2ndary DNS addresses are filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual.

Did the router throw you an error page or did it just stop resolving domain names?

Fuzzynutz...seems like the same issues with the wired.  Are you RoadRunner users?

If your on cable, can you verify that the cable line is in good condition and there are no or maybe only one splitter on the line? The more splitters on the cable line, the less signal the modem gets and can effect connectivity and thus effects everything else down the line. Preferred is to not have any splitters on the line.

It's a long shot however can you try a different cable modem. I had good luck with Linksys cable modems. Sometimes ISP only rent out low end modems and sometimes are the best.

So far it seems that everyone that is having problems with Wireless and Wired disconnects is using the DIR-655 and has Road Runner as their internet provider.

I am having a TWC (RR) tech coming out Tuesday May 3 to look into the issue. Also the tech is bringing a different modem (presenting using Motorola SB5101).
