Bear with me here I' m a noob in dark territory.
 I have a H.264 web cam with a built in server attached to a 1 watt Powerlink(N) router(bridge) connecting wirelessly outside (100 feet)to my Dlink 655. My computer connects wirelessly(60 feet) through the house via a 1 watt Powerlink USB adapter to the 655 also. It was the Network from hell to get up and going, but it is functional? now.
I have the Dlink with a web server port open outputting the video. I can access internal and externally via IE with a Dyndns domain so its all working.
Dlink says I'm getting 80-160mbps from the web cam and 25-55mbps from my computer.

The Problem: Camera server comes up fine and starts to stream great video for 2-5 seconds then its like the bandwidth gets used up and it gets choppy, stalls for long periods ETC ETC. I have Nat TCP and UDP set to End point independent if that makes a difference.
Any setting suggestions for the 655 are greatly appreciated.

Is QoS or traffic shaping enabled by chance? Try turning them OFF.
What wireless modes are you using? Try using Single mode G or N or Mixed G and N.

QOS and shaping are disabled. Camera bridge is wireless N, Main router is mixed G-N,  I have a G printer,
Computer adapter is N.  It seems to lag or freeze more when you try to control the PTZ function on the camera. I was wondering if there are any advanced settings that would help the throughput.
 Should Nat TCP and UDP set to End point independent?

Yes, give that a go and see how that works.
Have you set up any DHCP Reserved IP addresses on the router for these devices?

Yes, that is where TCP and UDP were set. The web cam is capable of multicast, I'm not sure what that is, but would it help to set that up properly. Sounds like its used when multiple people are viewing the web cam?? Maybe???

Enable Multicast Streams
 This option must be enabled if any applications on the LAN participate in a multicast group. If you have a multimedia LAN application that is not receiving content as expected, try enabling this option.

I don't know if I need multicast or not? I wan't to have access for multiple users from the internet. Local access would just be me. I almost think its something in the 655 settings because when you first access the camera it streams fine for a few seconds then gets choppy. You can take a look at http://thunderbirdbay.dyndns.org:8001  UserID : guest  PW: guest. You will have to download and install the active x controll. Let me know

I don't think in this case you need multicast on. I would try both ON and OFF.

Are you use the Camera is connecting in N mode? Can you try single mode G only on the router to test this out.
Is uPnP enable or disabled?

Camera connected in N mode, Upnp disabled.
I guess I might have to live with the chop.
