DIR-615 doesn't work in N mode
« on: May 07, 2011, 01:41:44 PM »

hardware version D3, FW 4.10 and 4.11 same problem.

i tried with 4 wlan adapters: two of them support 802.11b/g, they always work find no matter which settings. the other two support 802.11b/g/n, as default "n" is enabled, so does DIR-615, both wlan adapters can be connected to DIR-615, they get their LAN-IP, but they can access neither DIR-615(no respone to ping) nor internet. but if i disable "n" mode either in the adapter or in DIR-615, everythin works fine, of course only with 54mbit max.

so what can i do to use the n mode? thanks!

Try changing the WiFi on the router to Single mode G to test. See if ALL devices will connect to G mode only.l
Then change to single mode N and see which devices can connect.
Disable security for now.
Then try Mixed G and N and see what happens.
2 of the 4 adaptors that only support B and G should only connect while on single mode G or mixed G and N.
The other 2 should connect all around.

When you turn on security, set for what the adapters support, If they don't support WPA or WPA2 then you'll need to set for WEP. Most newer adapters support WPA and WPA2 which is preferred.
