Depends on your ISP service? DSL or Cable?

Need to get you a switch to connect to the 685, connect your win 7 and NAS and other devices to the switch.

What can you afford?
I do prefer HP brand however they can be a bit more spendy.
I have a 24pt switch that was about 350 at the time.
Let me see here:
You could try the DLink DGS-1005G 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=763

An alternative:
http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/products/switches/HP_V1405_Small_Office_Switch_Series/index.aspx
I have a predecessor to this one in my living room.
Does the 685 have Gb support? Doesn't really matter. If you want good GB speeds, get you a switch and upgrade your cabling to Cat 6 between your devices. It's cheep to do.

Let us know what you think and find out.
