I've got a DIR-855 A2 1.12EU and I've been using it just fine with my iPhone. I recently changed to a HTC Sensation Android phone and applications are giving me issues.

The wireless connection does work but application which download images, as far as I can figure, are very slow at downloading. Application that just download data is fine but when they are downloading images it's very slow. I had no problem what so ever with my iPhone.

I would of course have thought that the problem was the applications but when turning wifi off and running over 3G it's nice a quick in comparison and also when connected to any other router I've tried it's also nice and quick. It's only when I'm connected to my DIR-855 it's painfully slow. I haven't tried connecting to another DIR-855 as far as I know.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Are there any known issues?

I thought I'd try updating the firmware but when doing so from the web interface it says I have the latest firmware but apparently there's a newer one out there, 1.21EU but I haven't tried it ... yet.

Help! Otherwise I'll have to get a new router which wouldn't be a D-Link one.

please update first to latest firmware and try again since you are using a quite old firmware. New firmware is 1.23B06 EU. For more information and download link see below link.

Always do the following for FW updates:
Save off your current configuration to file.
Factory reset of the router.
Update FW.
Factory reset of the router onces more.
Test the router and or upload the saved configuration file.
