Problem with P2P app
« on: July 06, 2011, 08:49:44 AM »

I've just upgraded firmware to 2.0.  Adding torrent files, and showing status as downloading, but there's no inbound traffic at all.  I tried start and stop the download but still does not work.  Never see this problem on DNS-323.

Who do have any good idea to start the downloading?
Thanks,
Tiger

Have you set your router to let the DNS-320 see the outside world, if not it is most probably blocking it.

yep, I put the new DNS-320 together in the same network with the old DNS-323.  The old one can download without any problem for many years.

mine works with 2.0.. since you place with 323.. hav you configure the port fowarding nicely and make sure they don't use the same port? i assume your existing router setting only foward port to dns 323 if you haven't make any changes to it.

Works good for me too on the 2.0 firmware, although I will say my download speeds are rubbish compared to using a vuze on the computer.

I have good speed with the built-in P2P apps, do made sure you use the default port number and do port-forwarding if your router doesn't support UPnP. But seriously I would recommend switching to other client like Transmission instead.

Interesting , tell me more about this other client Transmission.

Pretty sure my router and NAS box are happy together, they work fine for everything including dnla.
