How to tell if unit has problems
« on: July 20, 2011, 12:29:58 AM »

Can anyone tell me how I can tell when one of the drives fails? I assume there is no speaker inside to make any noises. I did not remember entering my email address when setting it up, so no email. My guess is that the light on the front will change when a drive needs replacing, but I keep it in the tucked away behind the cabinet door of my desk.

Thank for your response. :)

Log into the DNS-321 web interface under CONFIGURATION and navigate to TOOLS -> DISK DIAGNOSTIC. This page will provide you with the ability to test the health of each drive in the DNS-321. Additionally, going under the STATUS menu will provide relevant information pertaining to each drive.
