OK - I'm not the most port savvy guy in the world so please forgive me but.
I bought an HP Envy 100 D410 printer. Love the concept of it but can't get it to connect to the router.
When I connect to wifi I get an IP address of 169.254.146.200 which is outside of the ip range of the router. So I plug in a manual IP address of 192.168.0.155 and enter the MAC address into the router. OK - now I see the printer in the router's status page BUT - I still can't get this printer to connect to the internet. I spoke to HP and they say that I need to have these ports open:
UDP ports: 137, 138, 161, 427.
TCP ports: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9290, 9500
How do I know if they are open and if they aren't how do I open them. I see the Virtual Server and Port Forwarding sections in the router but I have no idea what I'm doing. If anyone can help me solve this I will be forever grateful.
Thanks...Mike
