I was messing around with my DLINK DNS-323's DLNA server, I was trying to add more than one folder, and when that didn't work I wasn't thinking and added the root Volume_1 folder, which has close to 1 TB of files.  I am not that surprised that my DLINK DNS-323 is still trying to scan all of the media on my entire array and it has been "hung" for over 24 hours.  I can ping it, but can't accses it via the web interface.  Also earlier I was able to access the web interface, and tried to reboot it to stop it from scanning the huge volume, but when it came back it was still showing "scanning 0%".

Is there anyway to stop it from scanning my whole volume?  Will it ever actually finish?

Finally ... feature request...  DLINK add a "Cancel" button on this screen incase someone does something stupid like I did!

Just a note, I added an entire drive to UPnP too, with around 1.5 TB data, mine did not hang during the scan/refresh. Although it progressed very slowly and was done in about 2 hours if I recall correctly so there is definitely something wrong with your setup.

I was using the latest firmware version 1.09.

Unfortunately I have no clue how to help you fix it, hopefully someone can give you some advice, just wanted to point out my experience with adding an entire drive.

I wonder if it might be because of the number of files?  I have over 10,000 mp3s that I guess it might be adding into its database?

I just physically rebooted / unplugged it and I have access to the web gui again.  I went ahead and disabled the AV server :)

Thanks for your reply!
