I still say I don't think this is possible. As I know it, the whole point of Spotify is the ability to access files from your computer remotely, most notably, via mobile. The setting your talking about in the phone settings is to change how a PC sees the device when you connect it to USB. So if you connected the phone to a laptop, have the laptop reconise the phone as a USB drive, sync the drive with the laptop's spotify account, and then access that account on the phone via the spotify app. The reason you can see a drive on one computer from another computer is because you have File and network sharing enabled on the two computers in the LAN. File and network sharing works through a protocal by the same name installed on your NIC driver, just like TCP or a AV firewall. The phone has not such protocal, unless through the spotify app. And if that is a case, your going to want to look through the App for the setting, not the phone. Make sense?

What you probably want to do is use the USB cord to transfer the music from the phone to the desktop, sync that with your Spotify account, and then access that account from your phone.

Hi,

What is the router setting for WLAN Partition ?  I have mine unchecked (save and reboot router) because I was having issues with my wireless clients seeing each other, and as soon as I unchecked that, they could see each other fine.

Also, I have my UPnP checked....

Same settings and not working - but thanks for trying to help in this.

"What you probably want to do is use the USB cord to transfer the music from the phone to the desktop, sync that with your Spotify account, and then access that account from your phone."

-- Problem is Spotify won´t work with USB cord - only wireless or 3G... I though agree with what you are suggesting - problem is that as I wrote it did work several months ago...

Dave: Could you give me some more details on your setup/network - do you have a wired computer that is able to connect to wireless nodes? (Like my computer and phone)...

Tried now to disable IPV6 but that didn't solve this. Mobile gets ip, that ip is possible to ping from my computer. Trying to connect and running diagnose the only thing i get is "The remote device refused the connection"...  So that points again to the phone itself... but those forum... didn't give anything.

So now this became even more confusing. Suddenly Spotify synch works without any changes:

This is, when I start Spotify on my computer and then add mobile to wireless network (computer still wired to D-Link) it synchronizes perfectly. According to Samsung, their sycnchtool KIES should work the same way.

The feature using mobile as USB device, wireless is ... maybe not possible, after all.

So my wired computer synch s with mobile (wireless) when it comes to Spotify - and so another question;

What does Spotify do that Kies and Windows aren't  :)
