Hello, i can't see any feature that sounds like "trash" folder... i think for a NAS used as security storage unity, should be an important feature. The possibility to delete erroneously a file or a folder should be avoided if possible.

The DNS-320 already contains a "Recycle Bin" feature to prevent erroneously deleted files/directories from permanent removal: Recycle Bin Feature

Great work  ;) keep it rolling  8)
Like some of requests like cloud support but i think it would be nicer to have a cloud server like Tonido.

I just wanna to manage permissions right  ::)
In ShareCenter / Web Server, can't change any permissions at all, in folder or files neither recursive.
I'm forced to use nfs and manually force permissions recursive...

  • General - Fix Permissions messed with acessing throw ShareCenter, samba or NFS.
  • General - Get a (real) permission control over files / folders.
  • General - Support for Cloud serving, like tonido.
  • General - Possible to upgrade ajax.

General - Get a (real) permission control over files / folders.

Can you please clarify these two items? Your descriptions don't provide enough info for me to work with... (please be more concise and descriptive) Thx

General - Support for Cloud serving, like tonido.

Added...

General - Possible to upgrade ajax.

This items is already on the list.

Can you please clarify what you're looking to include/fix? Please be specific and concise, I'm not fully understanding the permission issues you're describing.  ???

If any items in the wishlist were fixed by the latest firmware, please post and I'll update!

  • General - iPad/IPhone and Android device friendly web interface
  • General - Web interface support for Android 3.2
  • App - Develop app to control the DNS from an Android device

You can easily replace those three with the more elegant and effective

General - Replace current web interface with a simpler standards-based, HTML5 UI designed according to "Responsive Design" principles and best practices and minimal use of gaudy icons and horridly tasteless gradients.

If you need help with that, I'll do it for free.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm pulling together input from multiple users and don't always have time to reconcile similar/overlapping requests. I'll fold these items under one request.

The DNS-320 already contains a "Recycle Bin" feature to prevent erroneously deleted files/directories from permanent removal: Recycle Bin Feature

Oh, thanks! I found it, the italian translation doesn't sounds so "user friendly" anyway it's ok! In some other operative system is called "cestino" (like "trash" or "basket").

Thanks again!

I've used QNAP TS-210 before.

It didn't show root directory on SMB.

But DNS-320 always show "Volume_1" so all user try access it.

I hope "Volume_1" show/hide function or hide permanently.
