They understand what I mean about FTP?
If I create an FTP account to a specific person, I have to specify a directory to share and must be a directory which is on previously shared resources, which does not interest me because then I'd have many shared resources unnecessarily.

So you're looking for the ability to provide users with FTP access to DNS-325 directories without requiring that the directories are shared?

I didn't notice until this point as a wish for change on next firmware:

User rights - can you add functionality to define more user/group rights like append and modify.

I'm not sure what "append" means in the context of permissions. Adding data to an existing file?
Do you think the inclusion of "Modify" (read/write/execute/delete) would be confusing to most users, since "write" access provides similar functionality? ???

1. Megaupload and other support for direct download website.

2. Support for recording and monitoring of IP cameras

Hopefully for future versions apart from correction officers bugs come new features implemented. But I will be forced to throw to Synology

I have no affiliation with D-Link, I'm just a D-Link consumer helping out on this forum.  ;D
