Below is a summary of everyone's input thus far. Please let me know if I over-generalized, misrepresented, or overlooked anyone's concerns and I'll refresh the list with updates. Recent additions/changes are highlighted in blue. Items addressed on the latest firmware are ~~striked out.~~

The current controls already maintain the temperature within a safe range. Selecting "Auto (Low/High)" or "Auto (Off/Low/High)" will allow the DNS-325 to self regulate the temperature.

The temperature range may be safe, but not necessarily comfortable. Auto(low/high) means the fan is constantly on, which keeps things cooler but is noisy and pulls more dust through the system. Auto(off/low/high) is quieter and cleaner, but not as cool as I prefer.

I would like to leave my DNS-325 on 24/7 but also keep it 'as cool as possible without being annoying' in my one room apartment. I like the idea of the Auto(off/low/high) setting for this, but I would prefer to have the 'low' & 'high' settings kick in sooner than they do currently.

Cooler electronics last longer, and I want my hard drives (and NAS) to last as long as possible without keeping me awake at night!

General - User selectable fan temperature set-points for 'low' and 'high' as with the overheat (system temperature threshold) setting. Even pull-down lists would be good!

D-Link posted a bug fix that enables the DNS-325 to enter the hibernation mode while mydlink Cloud add-on is activated: 2.38.0.19922

This corrects the following Firmware Wishlist item: "Hibernation - Hibernation fails if mydlink Cloud service is running"

bug: received a new dns-325 and upgraded from 1.02 to 1.03 right out of the box. loaded the appropriate version of the apps (2.01) and tried to set up the Photo Center app. Hit the button for Launch and it takes you to a new page that would normally show any albums you have made. However the page does not display any options to make albums and appears to not be logged in as a 'login' button is displayed in the upper right corner. the app is supposed to carry the login info over from the 325 but when you try to log in it still doesn't display any options and the login button is still visible. Opened a ticket with tech support and they confirmed that they see the same and will let me know.

and an easy way to stream movies to other devises when you are on the road
and please make the firmware ver. 1.03 available in denmark
