MAC Address Filter (Network Filter)

in the help file it shows this option

"Filter wireless clients:
    Apply MAC Filtering to devices that connect to the network via Wi-Fi. This is the normal usage of MAC Filtering.
Filter wired clients: "

However I don't see that option on the actual page.
How can i enable Mac address filtering only for the wireless side?

I guess DIR-655 MAC Address Filter has got no distinction on wired and wireless connections. Once it is enabled it either blocks only the listed MAC addresses or allows only the listed MAC addresses according to the two given choices. May be adding wireless devices with Wi-Fi protective set-up is what you may find useful.

MAC filtering is not all that secure, but it is better than nothing at all....

The 655 has a relatively small MAC filter table in the first place...  I know here I had to stop using it because over time we accumulated too many devices for the little table to handle.

So I went to a proper wireless encryption method using WPA2 and AES cipher.....Its far more secure than MAC filtering and is wireless specific in the first place.

unfortunately i have some hardware i cant use the encryption on for whatever reason.
i currently have it in the guest zone  and everything on the main side is encrypted.. but id still like to be able to filter.

If you have wireless hardware that cant run at least WPA or WPA2,
you should look at replacing/upgrading it.

If throwing money at the problem was an option I probably would..
On my Main zone I use WPA2
however on my Guest zone I don't because for some reason my

However I did find the fix.
Its one of those features D-link decided to hide for us mere mortals.
If you use firefox you can go to ADVANCED > NETWORK FILTER  and then in firefox View > Page style > no style
the setting is magically there! yay!
Given I build a lot of virtual machines this is a big plus as i now I only have to worry about MAC filtering on the wireless side.

You can do this in IE as well and I suspect just about any other browser.

Has been posted in many threads how to get to hidden options like bridge mode.

I was using IE 8, but tried using Firefox, I still don't see the Filter wireless clients setting after modifying Page Style to No Style. Is it in the drop down window under "Configure MAC Filtering below" or somewhere else on the page? I'm using Firefox version 3.6.18
