UPnP AV server - album ordering
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:44:55 PM »

Does anyone know how to get the UPnP server to list tracks in album order?

If you browse by Artist or Genre etc, it obviously has to list tracks by alphabetical order of title.
If you browse by Album it would be great to see tracks in the order they were ripped. This is how it works on Windows Media Player. If you set up a Playlist, you should be able to select and re-order files.

But browsing the UPnP server on my dlink 325 always lists tracks in alphabetical order. Even if I set up a playlist (using mp3tag - windows ones don't work) the dlink ignores the order in the playlist and lists files in alphabetical order.

This is driving me bonkers - the only way to get my albums to play in order is to change the Title tag with a number at the  beginning. This is a pain to do, and also it stops me being able to browse for things alphabetically if I DO want to look through all tracks.

Any ideas?
