dviewcam 2.03
« on: October 02, 2011, 09:27:59 PM »

can any one help?
i am using dviewcam 2.03 with X27 dcs920.
on configuration i removed the recycle option on schedule recording  ( which is 24h recording) but on the next 3 day it would say storage is full. i have 3tb of disk space free but yet it stopped recording as i sees it full.
is there any limitation?
Secondly when i put the recycle on, it would delete all the previous recodings instead of overwriting them. somtimes the recording folder itself is deleted but something the recording folder is here but the files in it would be deleted.
Any explanaition?

The D-ViewCam version you are using is very old. The software has undergone four updates since v2.03. You can download the latest version of D-ViewCam here: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Multimedia/D-View%20Cam/

Same thing happened a few times on a number of machines with V3.2 (fairly new software) with ample space (500G+) left. It stopped scheduled recording and notified diskspace was almost gone. Even cleared out some very important recordings in the same sweep.

Don't trust it that much to keep recording and check status on a regular basis now. On most servers it only happened once after upgrade, but one has had it happen multiple times...

Will put addendum to 3.2 bug-list as we speak.
