Is there any reason it couldn't be a simultaneous dual band router?

If not, why not?   :D

I needs to have seperate radios. It could be upgraded by changing the mini-PCI inside though. Check out this mod.

Very cool!  Which firmware would it then use to be able to use both radios?

Very interesting.  Too bad that post is dated back in 2009, and not 4500-specific.

Ya, even if you did that, how would you use the UI to enable both radios when I presume that the FW and UI only allow for either or for the 4500. Wonder if the Style sheet might know the extra options like on the 800 series routers.  ???

Exactly what I was thinking by both you and Fraggboy.

Meh, not worth the effort.  2.4GHz is good enough for our household for now.  Plus, we only have one device that will run the 5GHz band.

Someone hacked my acct. I came home one day and MS emailed me thanking me for my recent purchase of 10k MS points 2 weeks ago.  WTF  :o  I checked my acct and sure enough, someone had bought me 10k MS point using my billing info. MS locked my acct down while they investigated. I got a full refund and finally, got back online yesterday.  >:(
