Hi,
I just bought a D-link share centre 320. I had a few problems with set up (install wizard crash formatting the drive), but managed to get through them by browsing the forum. However, now I have hit a brick wall.
Basically, I am unable to map the sharecentre as a drive on windows.
To be clear:
1. I can access the drive via its ip address given by the router - I managed to format the (single WD 2TB) drive and upgrade the firmware to 2.0 via the web browser.
2. I can ping the drive at the ip address and it responds
3. The first part of the setup wizard located the drive easy enough via the network and yet the easy setup utiluty cannot locate it
A further consideration that might be of use: The ideal configuration of the sharecenter is not plugged in directly to the router, but rather via a D-link powerline which I have connected to the router no worries and its using a different IP address. However, thinking this might be the issue I tried to connect it direct to the router and no luck.
Help! I am a network noob and this has got me stumped.
Thanks for any assistance.
