Hi all,
I am in Canada and have hardware version A3.
I upgraded my firmware last week using the Firmware 'Check Now' button under the Tools menu. I ended up upgrading to 1.21. Now 'Check Now' tells me I have the latest version.
Ever since upgrading, my ipad2 periodically loses its wifi connection (every 20-40 minutes). Apparently this is some sort of issue with the ipad2, but it never happened before I upgraded the firmware.
So, I figured I'd try downgrade - unfortunately I don't remember what version I was previously at. Regardless, when doing a google search on downgrading, I stumble across sites talking about firmware 1.35??
So then I check the firmware versions on the dlink site, I see the 655 does indeed have up to 1.35 available. So I think, well let's see if the latest firmware helps with my issue. When I try update with this file, I get a message telling me:
"Upload Failed

If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.
The Gateway will not be reprogrammed."
I am logged in as admin. Not sure what is going on here. Is 1.21 really the latest A3 firmware?
Thanks
