Losing ftp web configuration interface after adding user right
« on: February 07, 2009, 05:49:20 PM »

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to test the FTP capability of the DNS-323, so I created users, gave them right and folders to access, the press the add button. This his where things gets weird, the page turned to gray shade and then it reboot without saying anything. After 1 min. it is accessible again so I go back in, and as soon as click on the left menu that says FTP, it shows part of the page, meaning it is missing the lowest part where you see the activity and the button activate or stop ftp ,and them it reboots again. Reboots every time I go to ftp settings. My solution is to update the firmware every time I modify FTP user setting. Not the best solution.

How can I solve this issue?

Thank you all.

If it were mine, I'd reset the unit to defaults (Tools/System/Defaults).  Then create one user, give access to one folder (that's the limit per user sadly).  Start the FTP service and test.  I guess the important thing is to start/add one user at a time to keep the test simple.
