« on: October 18, 2011, 06:01:44 AM »

Hi to everyone. I would like to attach 2 x 5ghz 19db panel antennas to my dir-825.
1. Now, can it destroy my dir-825(because of its strengh). I am living in a village, and would like to connect with a few neightbours (300-600meters distance).
2. And will 2,4ghz signal will be normal (WIll it appear at all with those antennas). Thanks

I would say are the 5Ghz only designed for 5Ghz frequencies or they backwards compatible for 2.4Ghz?

Most of on here are using stock antenna so not much experience with external ones. I might get a hold of Patrick533 and ask him about using a 1watt AP if your trying to broadcast farther.
