Hello,
Like other people on this forum, I've been having trouble getting my DAP-1360 to work in repeater mode. I have tried setting it up multiple times, I even called d-link tech support, but the problem is I am not sure it is actually working. Let me explain... I have set it up in repeater mode following the instructions, and when looking at my network connections list, my wireless connection has full signal (usually only has 3 bars), but when I connect to the wireless network, the signal goes down from 5 bars back to three, and signal quality back to "fair". I have tried adding my laptop using the MAC address, but it didn't really do anything noticeable.
So I am wondering, is this normal for the DAP 1360 to do this? When using it in repeater mode the signal still shows 3 bars when connected to wireless network, and there really isnt too much of a noticeable speed difference when browsing the internet.
Also, If I am wanting to go on xbox live (I have a wireless adapter), do I have to add the MAC address for that too? Or do I even have to add a MAC address for anything at all? Sorry for the question overload, I am just really confused and want to get my device working like it should.
Thanks!
