Weird log entry
« on: October 25, 2011, 02:10:03 PM »

Anyone know what this means?

[INFO] Tue Oct 25 13:52:01 2011 Blocked incoming TCP packet from 74.125.53.138:80 to 192.168.105.18:1063 as FIN:ACK received but there is no active connection

???

Is this something I should be worried about?

Thanks

Thats the firewall doing it's job and reporting it to the logs for your information.

Thanks. I am familiar with the log entries I usually see every day, but this was the first time since I got the router that I have ever seen this particular type of entry in the log, so I was just wondering what it meant and if it was a sign that somebody was specifically targeting my system or if they had somehow gained access to it. Another strange thing that happened was that my router is playing games again with the time. I clone my computer's time and then the log was showing everything was an hour off no matter what I did, even after hard boot. I finally fixed it by changing the IP address of the router and logging back into it and cloning the time again. Weird stuff. Is it possible to "clone" a router so that when somebody logs into it, they are actually logging into "your" router instead, thus allowing you to monitor their activity with impunity?

Thanks

Is this IP address 192.168.105.18 something on your network by chance?

That is the Dynamic IP address that the ISP assigned to my router that day.

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
