Two wireless network connections

I installed the drivers for this USB adapter today,  In my wireless network connections I have listed two network names,  one called default and the other one is using the ssid I set up on my router (dir 601).  When I go to manage the networks to delete the default one,it is not listed. Only the one I would like to use.  My kids also wirelessly connect via the IPad. Could this be the problem.   Thanks for any help
