Restricting access files, impossible. Why?
« on: November 11, 2011, 04:48:07 AM »

Hello,
I have a problem.
I set up multiple users with different permissions but I can not just select the access file.
I can only select an entire volume.
Are there on this model, the ability to restrict user access to only a few files or folders?

To circumvent this problem, I installed a second volume and allow access to a user at that volume. The result? No access to the two volumes!
I do not understand.
My DNS-325 is under firmware 1.02.

Please help me.

You can't create a network share on a file level, but you can create a share on a folder level. You just have to click the Volume_1 text when adding a network share to reveal the subfolders.
