I have not installed DD-WRT. Be great to find out if anyone is having good luck with it. Seems people have been switching back to factory f/w so I'm wondering if DD-WRT is worth it.

Is there any other f/w out there for the DIR-825 that are working well?

This might not pertain to the 825 however I tried WRT on a NG 3700 when I had it and it was pretty good. Only big thing is that it seems pretty complicated as far as the UI goes. There is tons of options.

I would have been nice to have a novice, intermediate and advanced UI option.

Is there a Tomato option for the 825?

I'm currently on OEM v2.05 and enjoying it greatly.

Anyone else with feedback with DD-WRT or any third party f/w for the 825?

Thought I read somewhere that there was another available. Thought it was Tomato.

FurryNutz, I use 825 with the latest WRT firmware. It is reasonably good, but not perfect. Agree on the ton's of options WRT offers and the difficulty to navigate through them. I've never used/tested the original (D-link) firmware and wander if I'd be able to setup the router in client-bridge mode with it.

dear FurryNutz, would it be possible to check the setup page of your 825 to see if the "client bridge" option is available there. My 825 is with WRT firmware but I'd like to test it with d-link firmware if it allows for "client bridge" mode operation

I turned off Styling on the 825 and viewed the web page and I cannot find any Client Bridge mode settings. Only thing I find that is hidden from normal view is EAP (802.1x) RADIUS stuff.
