Vpn Client help

Hello sorry to be a bother but I bought this new router becasue my old one died and it has been great at everything ive thrown at it. P2P games streaming its fantastic. but an issue has arised in the fact that my mothers laptop cannot connect its vpn client it is something that must be taken care of immediatly simply for  the fact that its her work. so please can anybody help me out?

Tell us more about the VPN client.  Who makes it?  What version is it?  How is it configured?  Does it use L2TP or PPTP?  Do you have a Dynamic DNS Client? 

Right now your request is too vague to help much.  Please give us more.
