Probably a silly idea, but since you have no data on the drives, could you try switching the drive locations in the 320. Just out of curiosity to see if the same drive is detected as having failed. This might give you a clue as to either the drive being bad or something with the 320's sata connection. The only other thing I might try is to remove both drives, put them in your windows machine and completely remove the partitions and then insert them in the 320 as bare drives. Good luck
