DNS 320 will not hold network share connection.
Every 30 to 60 minutes it drops out.

When I go to the administrative Share center panel and open
* System Management>Network Shares
   _ the the share I've set is gone.

I must then go to
* System Management>Devices
   _and Reset the share center.

After 1-2 minutes the Sharecenter reboots and my
share appears once again.

According to the firmware setting I'm running Version 2.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,
There is a new firmware, now 2.02 is the latest release.  ftp://ftp.dlink.com//Multimedia/dns320/Firmware/dns320_FW_202  I am not sure if this will fix your problem, but I have not noticed anyone having a similar problem to yours with it.  There are a number of improvements, but a few glitches have been reported.  You might want to scan the forum for some of the complaints and realize that you cannot go back to 2.00 once you upgrade.  The only other thing I can think of is to wonder if you are waiting until the save process is complete and that little saving circle disappears before you reboot.  I doubt that is the problem but I just mention it.  Good luck

Cable2,

Thanks for your response. I think a bad hard drive may of been the problem, as S.M.A.R.T. errors turned up on it when I removed it and ran Ubuntu's Diskmanger Smart util on it.

I then loaded 2 more drives reformated, used the Dlink utils to run full scandisk and SMART testing across them. Now the box is working fine.

I've also downloaded the Firmware you sent, and will try that later. So far though the 320 is looking good.
