Macintosh Problems
« on: December 05, 2011, 02:09:08 PM »

So I've run the Windows installer using VMWare and Parallels, and it can't find the unit with the computer connected to the same router, green light on the cam, etc. When I run the Mac software, it finds the camera instantly, but after I submit my DLINK account info, I get an error:

Updated Wizard Required

Would really love a solution. When I click past the account submission section, it instantly says that my camera is ready to view at the DLINK site. It isn't linked to the DLINK site.

Please advise. Thank you.

I am also on Mac.
Do you have "mydlink Setup Utility v1.0.06_07272011.app" dated 07/27/2011 ?

I'll bet you are using Mac Setup utility 1.0.03. You need 1.0.06. Go to http://www.mydlink.com/support and select you model (DCS-932L, right?), then under the left most column for the Wizard choose the bottom item and download it from there. Also get the firmware update at this site. Install the firmware first or else you'll have to run the setup utility twice. Once the setup utility starts, you'll get to a page for selecting your camera. Be sure and click on the line that lists DCS-932L before you click the Next button, when you click that line it'll turn blue. Don't worry if there is a yellow ball (indicating the camera has not been configured) to the left of "DCS-932L:" after you do click the Next button, the camera will be configured. You'll next have to set up a MyDlink account, if you don't have one already. Also, once you've finished with the setup utility (aka "wizard"), Java Runtime Environment (JRE) will have to be enabled. If you are running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (or earlier) this may not be a problem, but OS X 10.7 Lion does not come Java Enabled. To enable it, go to the Utilities folder, select Java... , where, if Java IS already on your OS, you'll see one line for the 64-bit version and one for the32-bit version. If not, go to http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421 for java update; you may want to do that anyway to make sure you have the latest version. Back in the Java Utility window, click the box to enable Java applets in browsers. You'll have to exit and then restart your browser for Java to work.

I searched long and hard and v1.0.06 does not seem present on any dlink support site. I thought for a minute it was on the DE (German) site, but even thought the download was label v1.0.06, it was just v1.0.03. Completely unable to set this device up on my Mac, even in VMWare. Quite surprising. If someone has a copy and can upload it that would be great, I also have an email out to dLink support but am not optimistic.

As the last person said, go to http://www.mydlink.com/support, then click on DCS-932L.
Look under Wizard on the left, where it says "Mac setup utility"
This links to
which IS v1.0.0.6 (beta)
Works for me in California
