shareport problem
« on: February 21, 2009, 06:50:04 PM »

I recently bought the dir-655 and currently trying out the shareport function. I installed the program on 4 computers, 3 of them worked, 1 of them didn't. For the one that's not working, it will not show "dlinkrouter-192.168.0.1" like the other three when I right-click the program.

I've reinstalled the software and check and even disabled the firewall, still can't find the router.

I'm running xp home sp3.

Have anyone experience similar problems?

Thanks

If you have vmware software installed, forget shareport working.  It's possible there is another driver or application on that machine that is also negatively affecting it.

'Something' in your Windows config is causing this. Hard to say what this far away.

I had a similar problem.  I uninstalled 2 Windows Onecare products that I had installed, and everything works perfect now.  See http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecarefirewall/thread/5c584426-1fd2-4fe3-a7e1-7917ea1f3d92/ for more details.
