Have you tried pushing the reset button for more than 5 seconds?

Have you tried accessing the web interface?

Have you unplugged the power supply, opened the box, removed each hard disk and then replaced it ans re-powered the unit?

What else have you done to test the unit?

What, if any, were the symptoms before the apparent failure of the unit?

How are the drives setup and is there one or two drives?

I could go on all night asking questions but I won't  - but if you want help then you should give us as much information as you can to help us help you.

If your unit is truly dead and depending on the drive setup you may be able to recover what you placed there since your last backup.  That will require the use of a SATA/USB caddy/adapter and either a linux box or an IFS driver for windows.

Actually I just bought a Qnap NAS so I was going to give my old Dlink to my bro haven't used it for a long time so I don't really care what's on the drives
>>> How are the drives setup and is there one or two drives?
I got 2 x 160GB WD Sata Drives (No Jumpers setup) and my original RAID setup was "1" mirror
>>> Have you tried pushing the reset button for more than 5 seconds?
Yes, I tried the Power button for more than 5 sec a couple of time
>>> Have you unplugged the power supply, opened the box, removed each hard disk and then replaced it and re-powered the unit?
Yes, I tried with 2 drives , 1 drive and No drives
>>> What, if any, were the symptoms before the apparent failure of the unit?
Nothing special maybe a little slow but not more then usually
>>> Have you tried accessing the web interface?
I'm already setup with the new NAS so I don't want to mess it up changing IP, I'm using the same IP for the New NAS that I was using for the Dlink and if I remember correctly it was a (Static IP) so the DHCP won't push a New IP and I don't know of any other way to access it but I will try to access it at my brother's place
>>> What else have you done to test the unit?
that's about it ... I did pray to the GOD "Lucky" and burned a Voodoo doll but still no luck

Thanks fo the help

There is a recessed RESET button, which is NOT the same as the power button.
