Still having issues, anyone resolve this?

I just bought the DNS-320 last week and i am trying to FTP from external hard drive to hard drive in DN S-320 and it was working great for first day. Now more than half of the files get this error

Hi,
To sijan, perhaps you could detail the problem you are having with the incremental backup and let us know what exactly you are doing and where it goes wrong it would be helpful.  If you find a fix for this your FTP issue becomes moot for the time being.
Regarding you folks having problems adding data via FTP, is everyone sure the specific user has read and write rights to the folder you are trying to upload to?  Have you guys changed any of the default FTP setting on the 320, enabled SSL/TLS only?  How about trying to use a different FTP client, IE, Firefox, FireFTP, etc. just to try and rule out one of the settings on the 320 or on the FTP Client you are using.
Finally, has anyone done the reset to factory defaults and re-entered their settings, you cannot use a config file from 2.0 to update 2.02 even if you saved it.  Save the new config file but the older one does not work correctly on 2.02.  That's about all I can think of right now.  Good luck all.

A quick query on FTP errors gives this:
553    Requested action not taken. File name not allowed.

Have you look into it?

My account user has full read/write access and i can upload maybe 1 out of every couple of hundred files, its totally random. Troubleshooted with dlink tech support and they were no help
I havent touched any settings and even did a factory reset of the DNS-320
Tried FileZilla, CuteFTP, goFTP, CoreFTP, BulletFTP ....
all same issues
tried PC wired directly to DNS-20 (no router or switch in between) same issue
I am about ready to return this piece of chunk

Dlink supports suggested transfering 1 folder at a time (i have 1.7TB of data to tranfer.... like come on)
Then suggested using the local LAN backup to copy the data from PC to DNS .. tried this and its slow, and fails after about 18Gb which takes 4 hrs to get to that point.
i'm returning this crap.... is the DNs-321 any good? i know its older
