Lighttpd
« on: January 06, 2012, 08:16:38 AM »

Are there any good tutorials for setting up Lighttpd on the DNS-320. I've tried the one on Nas-tweaks.net but I can never get it to work. Once I reboot the DNS-320, I'm not able to log into SSH anymore.

Maybe someone can upload a preconfigured setup?

I don't see the connection between SSH and lighttpd as both are separate function. I assumed you're referring to the package from FFP.

You did not mention what you were trying to achieve.

I'm trying to stream videos to my Roku using Rocksbox. The only way is to setup HTTP file sharing. I've tried following the instructions but I believe it was designed for the dns-321/323 which might be a little different than the dns-320. Has anyone been successful doing this?

I assumed this software you mentioned is GPL. Do post more relevant info/links, maybe I can help you with the setup.

This is the guide I followed - http://nas-tweaks.net/88/installation-and-configuration-of-the-webserver-lighttpd-for-fonz-fun_plug/

For some reason, when I restart my NAS I'm not able to log in SSH or Telnet. Plus I could never get the the NAS to serve HTTP pages, not sure what port it's suppose to serve on but I tried Port 81 and 8080.

I'm wondering if anyone has gone through this tutorial with a DNS-320, and what extra steps did they have to take that's not listed?
