XS,

Thank you for checking on yours.  I haven't touched the firmware at all.  Let me try another reset to factory defaults to see if I can get it working correctly..

Since you are getting such a high upload, I would leave it on auto.. Enjoy that faster upload!!!!    ;D

Yeah I doubt it is a steady 8 meg though, I am sure most of it is all powerburst.  Anyway I am not complaining and I will take it for now.  I hope its not short lived! Too bad now I have to run more upload speed tests, my wife will be thrilled about it.  :o

Looks like I am going to call tech support and get it RMA'd since it's still under the 1-year warranty. Time to pull out the (slower) emg Linksys running DD-WRT.  :'(

What happens if you reload code using the FW update sticky process Frag?

I don't know. I haven't tried. I didn't think the 4500 would let me re-load the firmware.

FYI, you can always reload code, you can even go back to v1.21, just can't down grade beyond that version.
Let us know how the reload goes and if it still exhibits this.

Sweet!!  I *hope* re-loading the firmware will fix this!  ;D  I will get it done once I am home.  During troubleshooting from work, I accidentally pressed the "Release" button. . .  ::)

DOH!!  Can't perform this from work.

So, I re-loaded the firmware and loaded my config back up.  It's still acting the same(Unknown). :(  BUT, it doesn't seem to effect the wired/wireless setting.

Should I still get it RMA'd (I have 6 more months of warranty left)?

What happens if you reload code and dont load the saved config from file and configure from scratch.

I wouldn't go over board with tests man. There just informational. Just enjoy it.  ;)

I should have taken your advice, ran some tests at myconnection server for quality and my upload consistency dropped from 85-95% to 20-30% :-[  I am not sure why, hopefully it was something on their end.
However my download consistency of service went up from 60% to 90%.
Whats up with that?

Anyway, Frag my router still shows uplink speed in auto even after a few more resets, if you can't fix it, I would send it back.

Sorry to hear about your upload dropping like that.  It seems they are changing something on their end (Hopefully it won't last long).   >:(

But, if you don't run a server/host games from your home, I wouldn't worry too much about it.  I would rather care about the D/L speed, which they did increase.. :)

I am thinking the same thing, XS.  I will probably contact technical support after work today to get an RMA started..
