DHP540 Hangs when attached

I am having a problem with my DHP540 when the devices attached are turned off theDHP540 hangs after a few hours. Connectivity returns if you turn off/on the DHP540. This does not happen if at least one attached device remains on. I would like to be able to shutoff my bluray and tV. Is this a known issue?
